So how was last week? Did you walk 3 times? Did it bring you some happiness? Were you able to get into a natural space? I can’t wait to hear.
This week’s happiness prompt and affirmation can be done while absolutely alone or maybe even for an audience. It all depends on you and your personality. What I can assure you is it will bring you happiness.
Here’s the prompt for this week:
The Happiness Project is
my way of sprinkling happiness like fairy dust so that we can shift our perspective towards a happier more joyful life. Each Tuesday I will give you a prompt and an affirmation for the week. Use these to guide you towards a joyful life filled with gratitude and happiness. Think of it as your own gratitude journal.
Once in a while we’ll do a check-in to see how your happiness is improving.

Last week:
Margie from https://backroadsandotherstories.com said that she now walks on the beach daily and offered the equation for happiness. Here it is Walk+nature+beach=super happiness. I think we can all agree that the math adds up.
Cee Neuner from https://ceenphotography.com/ finds happiness and magic in moving. Her gratitude for movement is palpable especially after a debilitating fight with Lyme disease. Read her inspiring post here https://ceenphotography.com/2023/05/11/when-your-body-surrenders-happiness-project-challenge/
Judy Dysktra from Life Lessons shared a beautiful post that showed happiness in action. Read it here https://judydykstrabrown.com/2023/05/11/happiness-project-week-8-may-11-2023/ Such joy!
Wynne Leon the beautiful soul from Surprised by Joy, https://wynneleon.com is used to exercise, climbing mountains and dipping into crevasses. Though these days she says she walks mostly in the city. Still there is joy to be found there in a neighbour’s garden or the people and animals you encounter along the way. Joy is everywhere if we just look, right?
One thing that brought me happiness last week is here https://lifewithalegria.com/2023/05/15/the-mothering-circle-and-gooseberries/
I hope you found some moments of happiness last week too!
This week I wish you plenty of happiness and hope you will strengthen your voice to make yourself heard.
I had fun with this topic. I’m able to sing again and that is such a happy thing in my life. Thanks for the prompt.

I love Margie’s equation for happiness – delightful!
Alegria – you really have a gift for these lovely prompts and affirmations. We have a voice and need to be heard – that is so impactful!
The thing I love about living with young kids is that they sing all the time without self-consciousness. My 7-year-old was telling me tonight that she’s making up song lyrics about wanting to become a butterfly. So, yes, I sing every day and I’m grateful for this prompt to help extend that note of pleasure in hearing my voice and those of my little ones…Thank you!

That’s a beautiful message Wynne. A voice is a gift, whether we can hold a tune or not. And we have a choice in using it for good or not. It’s all up to us. How lovely that Miss O is composing her own lyrics. Superbly creative. Singing together is lots of fun too. I remember those days. Thanks for being here Wynne! 💕
