This week’s happiness prompt is simple (aren’t they all). And that’s exactly the point. It’s about the simple little things. The simple pleasures that inject a little happiness and bring us joy everyday.
I hope you enjoyed last week’s prompt, all about the beach, and were able to use it to encourage more of the simple joys to enter your life. If you missed any of the prior weeks you can find them here , https://lifewithalegria.com/category/happiness-project/
The Happiness Project is
my way of sprinkling happiness like fairy dust so that we can shift our perspective towards a happier more joyful life. Each Tuesday I will give you a prompt and an affirmation for the week. Use these to guide you towards a joyful life filled with gratitude and happiness. Think of it as your own gratitude journal.
I also share your happiness here, so link your happiness post in the comments below, ping back to this post, or share your thoughts about this week’s prompt in the comments. I will share it in next week’s post.
Happiness Shares:
Janice Reid from https://accordingto.me shared a beautiful story relating to last week’s prompt. She said, “I have many great beach memories, but the one that means the most is one I took with my husband in 2019 a few months after complications from my illness. I remember it feeling so good to just feel the sun and walk on the beach with my feet in the water and him holding my hand. Believe me I was not a pretty sight, and I probably drew a few stares, but I didn’t care 🌞.”
Isn’t it wonderful when you stop worrying about what other people think and just immerse yourself in the moment.
Wynne Leon who is a beautiful writer that offers much depth on her blog, Surprised by Joy, https://wynneleon.com told a beautiful story about watching her 5 year old daughter at the beach.
It was a scene of pure joy that Wynne holds on to in the form of a happy memory and a photograph.
Margie from https://backroadsandotherstories.com lives near the beach and finds happiness there daily.
I hope you find joy and happiness this week in the inspiring moments you’ll experience. And let me know who you chose to hug,
This one’s real easy ❤️❤️❤️.

That’s great Jan. Tomorrow’s may be easier. Or maybe not. Let’s see.

Giving love is accepting love – what a beautiful statement, Alegria! I think your happiness prompt is so key – the really taking the time to feel the hug all the way through! I’m lucky enough to have kids young enough that I get to hug them many times a day but your cue really helped me drink in the love I GET when I do. Thank you!

So glad you felt the love Wynne. That’s the lovely thing about kids, they’re so open to giving and accepting love. And thankfully it continues with age. When my kids visit there are always plenty of hugs. And this mama loves it. Enjoy the hugs, especially this week. 🤗

Most people in my family are not huggers, so when we do hug, it’s extra special! There is nothing that melts your troubles away like big, warm hug.

That’s so true Margie. The more hugs you give, the more huggy they’ll become. Go for it.
