Happiness Project Week 8

As you probably already know, exercise is a fantastic mood booster. As we exercise, even moderately, three times a week, our brain produces a variety of feel-good chemicals. One of them is Endorphins, the hormone that kickstarts that happy feeling.

This week I challenge you to some light exercise so that you can experience that rush of happiness and feel the joy. (Of course, this is all optional and based on your own physical capabilities.) And doing so in nature is even more beneficial.

Here is this week’s prompt and affirmation.

If you want to catch up with the previous weeks of happiness, find them all here

The Happiness Project is

my way of sprinkling happiness like fairy dust so that we can shift our perspective towards a happier more joyful life. Each Tuesday I will give you a prompt and an affirmation for the week. Use these to guide you towards a joyful life filled with gratitude and happiness. Think of it as your own gratitude journal.

Once in a while we’ll do a check-in to see how your happiness is improving.

Last week:

Wynne Leon the beautiful soul from Surprised by Joy, https://wynneleon.com said she was caught off guard (in a good way) by the affirmation.

Don’t forget about noticing the beauty on the inside of you too.

Janice Reid from https://accordingto.me says that she had the chance to walk among the cherry blossoms.

If you’ve done it then you know how magical it feels.

Cee Neuner from https://ceenphotography.com/ has a real eye for beauty. Cee posted an uplifting post about Dogwood Blooms. Find it here https://ceenphotography.com/2023/05/04/dogwood-blooms-happiness-project-challenge/

Margie from https://backroadsandotherstories.com noticed, as I have, how everyone up here in Canada seems a bit more cheerful.

We are finally starting to warm up and see some sunshine up here and that is bringing much joy.

I wish you a wonderful week full of endorphins and joy.

Do you exercise regularly? Will you do some walking in nature this week?
