You’d think I plan these prompts ahead of time and have them all scheduled and ready to go, but such is not the case. Though I am fairly organized in many aspects of my life, my blog, unfortunately is not one of those uber organized things, for the simple reason that I allow this space to be my creative space; to explore the journey and the destination.
Somehow however, each week, the inspiration finds me. And today, just a few hours ago I read the post of my blogging friend, Dr. Victoria Atkinson from Victoria Ponders. And let me tell you what an inspiration!
As you may know, Vicki recently published a book called, Surviving Sue. One of the strategies Vicki used in dealing with the pain and turmoil of the relationship she had with her mother Sue, was to write six word stories. This inspired my Happiness Prompt today, because I do believe happiness and particularly joy is uncovered when we move beyond our pain and suffering.
Here’s the prompt for this week.
And here’s the link to Vicki’s inspiring post: https://victoriaponders.com/2023/09/19/peek-inside-surviving-sue-six-word-style/
The Happiness Project is
my way of sprinkling happiness like fairy dust so that we can shift our perspective towards a happier more joyful life. Each Tuesday I will give you a prompt and an affirmation for the week. Use these to guide yourself towards a joyful life filled with gratitude and happiness. Think of it as your own gratitude journal.
Once in a while we’ll do a check-in to see how your happiness is improving, so keep slowly moving towards happiness and eventually to joy.

This week I wish you some mindful moments in assessing your day in six words and I wish you happiness each day.
If you missed the previous weeks, here’s the full list:

the pain she gave transformed me
Wow that’s really powerful Susan. Thank you for sharing this six word story.
I relate strongly to Vicki’s story.
Beautiful! I love Victoria too!
Then we already have something in common. 😁
I sometimes have the attention span of a gnat, Alegria. I did read this and think about it earlier in the week, but then life (and friends) carried me off!
Didn’t know gnats had such a great attention span Jo. 😂🤣😂 There’s never any pressure my friend. It’s all there as we seek it.
Hope you’ve had a lovely weekend!
As good as it gets, Alegria. Good friends, good walking and good food. And you?
Same as you Jo. A little local outing. Connecting with friends and family. Some gardening. And a bit of quiet reading. All joyful things as autumn is beginning to settle upon us. Soon we’ll be clearing out the garden. But definitely feeling the cozy fall vibes.
Thanks for asking! 🍂
Hi there…circling back with a summary six-word story for last week. I’m so grateful to my husband of many years for putting up with me! 😉”Wherever you are is my home.” Hugs!
Ooooh I love that Vicki. So much gratitude in those words.
Thank you for sharing them. I feel similarly about my old man. 💕
Yay for all of four of us then, eh? xoxoxo! 💕
💕
Thanks for your appreciation Alegria ❤️. How’s that for six words 😊.
Hahaha
I love it Jan. Thank you!
There’s 6 words back. 😆💕
😊💕.
Oh my…you honor me so by sharing the ‘six word’ concept and my post as your weekly prompt. 💕 Thank you so much…for your friendship and for being a beautiful light. I love your reminders about immersion and affirmation. I’m going to make a point of practicing ‘six words’ each day this week…and I promise to check back with an update. Big hugs! 🥰
The pleasure of sharing is all mine.
I’ll look forward to your six word stories here. What fun! Have a beautiful evening Vickie! 💕
😉❤️😉
This is a great prompt. I will try and do it this week. Here is mine for today: nightfall softly blankets my sunny day.
Ah that’s a beautiful six word story Margie. I love it! I’ll look forward to hearing more throughout your week if you get a chance to share.
