Happiness Project Week 13

Last week was all about noticing the details in flowers. That tiny action is a way to slow down and appreciate the beauty in something we often take for granted. And the motion of stopping to notice details changes our perspective pushing us towards a blissful moment of happiness. I’m hoping you discovered that last week.

This week we’ll stick with the flower theme, but in a completely different way.

With the abundance of flowers in the northern hemisphere this time of year, isn’t it nice to use them to bring joy to someone else. There’s happiness in that too.

Here’s the prompt for this week:

The Happiness Project is

my way of sprinkling happiness like fairy dust so that we can shift our perspective towards a happier more joyful life. Each Tuesday I will give you a prompt and an affirmation for the week. Use these to guide yourself towards a joyful life filled with gratitude and happiness. Think of it as your own gratitude journal.

Once in a while we’ll do a check-in to see how your happiness is improving, so keep slowly moving towards happiness.

Last week:

Janice Reid a member of our happiness community and blogger at Sincerely Jan https://accordingto.me/ tells us she is on her way to a tropical destination that is full of gorgeous flowers. Certainly lots of happiness in that.

Margie from https://backroadsandotherstories.com promised to stop a little longer to notice the details in flowers and immerse herself in the happiness. As a grandma-to-be there will be plenty of little joys to celebrate also. Congrats Margie!

Still Restless Jo https://stillrestlessjo.com/blog/ can’t imagine a world without flowers. And neither can I. They bring such joy as do Jo’s images of flowers that she finds on her many walks. Walk along with Jo every Monday.

Cee Neuner who is a photographer who’s subject is often flowers shared a lovely story on her blog. You can read it here https://ceenphotography.com/2023/06/09/amazing-flowers-happiness-project/ and you can also join Cee’s FOTD (Flower of the Day Challenge). I myself have so many photos of flowers I could post a FAM (Flower a Minute).

Here’s a poppy from my garden for you Cee. Not that I’m a photographer by any means, but I couldn’t resist snapping this beauty which I planted this year.

Wynne Leon the beautiful soul from Surprised by Joy, https://wynneleon.com and a happiness community regular seems to have disappeared this week. Where’s Wynne?

Steffi from https://kokopellibeefreeblog.wordpress.com/ shared several images on Twitter and was very attuned to the delicate details of flowers on her balcony. Here’s one that brought all of us some happiness.

I hope you found some moments of happiness last week in experiencing all the minute details that we often don’t notice, but do exist in flowers.

This week, I wish you some beautiful moments of slow intentional happiness as you celebrate the joy of giving someone else a flower.
