Happiness is all around you. Just walk through a garden, yours or anyone’s, and you are sure to feel a sense of joy, happiness, and peace.
This week’s prompt asks you to do something special with flowers, and if you live in a place where there are no flowers at this time of year, supermarket flowers work just as well.
Here’s the prompt for this week:
The Happiness Project is
my way of sprinkling happiness like fairy dust so that we can shift our perspective towards a happier more joyful life. Each Tuesday I will give you a prompt and an affirmation for the week. Use these to guide yourself towards a joyful life filled with gratitude and happiness. Think of it as your own gratitude journal.
Once in a while we’ll do a check-in to see how your happiness is improving, so keep slowly moving towards happiness.

Last week:
Margie from https://backroadsandotherstories.com articulated the prompt really well. Here’s what she said, “This is such a good reminder to find peace, not only in action, but also in inaction. Thank you!
Wynne Leon the beautiful soul from Surprised by Joy, https://wynneleon.com thought it might be hard, but is willing to try.
No doubt, spending time doing nothing is very difficult for most of us, myself included, but I too am learning to just be. There’s a great reward that comes from doing nothing. Find out what it is in this video.
I hope you found some moments of happiness last week in just being.
This week, I wish you some beautiful moments of slow intentional happiness among the flowers. Let me know what you noticed so that we can share it and spread the happiness.

Oh you made this week’s lesson especially for me. Or at least I felt like it.
Here is my entry.

I can’t imagine a life without flowers, or rather, I wouldn’t want to, Alegria. The first thing I see each day (after my coffee cup) are the flowers on my patio. Early mornings they catch the breeze and mesmerise me with their swaying. The smaller ones are still hunkered down. I so love watching them grow.

I absolutely agree Jo. I wouldn’t want to imagine a life without flowers either. The morning wanderings in my garden are truly soul fulfilling. Thanks for reading. 🌸

This is such a great prompt. I will definitely try and immerse in flowers. THey are all around us this time of the year and I will try and stop for a little longer than just saying how beautiful they are. I found the video interesting. Your definition of boredom is so different then I understand it. I always say that I am never bored, but the way you describe boredom, I am bored much of the time!

And that’s the best kind of bored to be! Thanks Margie! Appreciate you participating and spreading the happiness.
Enjoy the flowers and let me know what you notice. 🌸

I missed a couple of weeks of your happiness project so I’m just getting caught up😊. You are so on the money with that video on boredom. When I’m too busy or over stimulated I lose all creativity and cannot write. My husband and I are heading to Jamaica next week and I intend to fully embrace boredom 🤣. Were you in Barbados by any chance?

You enjoy the boredom Jan. It really does stir up the creativity. It was Cancun. I do wish it was Barbados. Though I’ve been there, it’s been many years.
And too long for Jamaica too. I’m jealous already. You enjoy. Everything irie! 😁🌸
