He raced around the island, stopping at every tourist attraction. The view from Timothy Hill was fantastic, parting the Atlantic and the Caribbean. The time spent at Wingfield Estates was well worth it, but the speedy drive around the road that circles the island was making me nauseous.
“What’s the hurry man?” I asked him. “I have a package waiting for me,” he answered, “and I need to feed the dog. Do you mind if we stop in at my house on the way?”
We stopped, but he forgot his package. The now fed dog accompanied us in the taxi.
100 Words
This may be Friday Fictioneers, but this is a true story. When I saw the photo prompt with the beautiful iron gate it brought back some memories.

The feature image is the view from Timothy Hill. Atlantic Ocean on one side, the Caribbean Sea on the other. Above is Wingfield Estates.

This is our taxi driver’s house where we stopped, with its beautiful wrought iron gate.

And here’s a blurry image of his dog accompanying us in the taxi. I think he’s smiling.
What fun!
Friday Fictioneers is a place for flash fiction brought to us by the lovely Rochelle Wisoff-Fields. Visit her site and use her Wednesday photo as a prompt to write a complete 100 word story.
Oh, that’s hilarious. I was waiting to read that he went back when he realized he forgot the package.

Dear Shelley,
Friday Non-fiction is perfectly legal. As long as you use the prompt and write it in a 100 words, it’s all good by me. 😉 Delightful story and photos. Thanks for sharing them.
Shalom,
Rochelle

Thank you for reading Rochelle. And somehow it always comes out to exactly 100 words. I never thought that possible. I appreciate you bringing us together like this. I very much enjoy this challenge.

Haha, except there was no Uber on the island then.
