What’s happening in your life? Are you finding the magic? Any synchronicities? This morning Vicki wrote a post about her God moment, entitled Jackson and Grace. And just a few days before, Wynne wrote about her God moment, Connecting the Dots. Both posts, linked below, point to the magic that exists in our lives.
This morning I had my own God moment. I’ve been dwelling on a problem. The problem itself is irrelevant, we all have them. Though within these problems we always have choice. And here is where we find the struggle. In that space between this and that, yours and mine, taking and giving, light and dark, is a place for equilibrium. Finding that precise balance is the struggle.
I woke early and tried to go back to sleep, but we all know that’s not as easy as it sounds when you’re a particular age. So after lounging until there was light in the sky, I decided to get up. I dismissed the normal idea of heading to the bathroom first, thinking I’d like to see the golden glow of the just risen sun. As I turned the other way to look out of the windows, there my blurry eyes widened to see a beautiful bright rainbow.
Rainbows symbolize new beginnings and acceptance. We know that, but a different thought came to mind as I watched the glistening white wings of seagulls flying in front of this colourful spectrum of light.
Rainbows are about perspective. They aren’t fixed. These light refracting arcs are optical illusions that look different based on your location and elevation. Where the arc ends and begins will look different to you than it does to me. Perspective.
If is for this reason the pot of gold remains elusive, and sometimes from a plane you can see the full circle of colour. Rainbows are actually circles not arcs. Again, it’s perspective, right?
It is the same with our problems. They appear differently when considered from another’s perspective. This can be very difficult to do when we are entrenched in our own beliefs and tied to our own outcomes, but an alternate perspective is so necessary to come to a collaborative resolution.
And as I stood, looking out at the rainbow that I would have missed if I hadn’t taken the time, I experienced a God moment, and these words came:
She floated in this morning
a rainbow was her gift
she handed it to me
with a message to uplift
Her golden curls like sunlight
as seagulls drifted by
their gleaming white wings glittered
like the sparkle in her eye
She whispered something to me
and I must share with you
our world may seem broken
but upon a closer view
You'll notice something special
happening on this day
take a look at all the details
you'll find along the way
Little people who stand in awe
of birds that sing in trees
flowers pushing through the ground
and the softening warmer breeze
You will notice magic
if you open up your heart
Wynne and Vicki call it a God moment
I call it God's art
And today is the first day of Spring, the vernal equinox, and international happiness day. Wow! That’s a lot of magic and wonder to celebrate.

And what about you? Have you experienced a God moment, synchronicity, magic lately? And are they becoming more common, or is it just me?
Here are Vicki and Wynne’s posts on their God moments.

It took me a long while to read all 3 posts, Alegria, but I got there in the end. It’s not so very long ago that I first spotted a ‘whole’ rainbow, from a plane, and I was captivated. I’ve not used AI in my posts, and don’t much want to. It’s a beautiful image but it doesn’t look real to me. I prefer your imperfect one.
Wishing you many more God moments xx

I have to agree with you on the images Jo. I feel much the same. Those spontaneous travel pictures are the best aren’t they.
Thanks so much for taking the time to read and to appreciate my thoughts. Always a pleasure having you along! 💕

Great reflection and the poem was excellent. I love this part:
“You will notice magic
if you open up your heart”
We absolutely need to keep an open heart if we want to see the magic this world has to offer.

Very true Edward. I think we have to avoid the distractions and all those things that try to pull us down to their level. It’s then we notice and feel the magic.
Thanks for being here and appreciating.

I love your words, Alegria. Did you feel like the rainbow was for you? I’ve had some of those. Of course, rainbows are for everyone that see them, but I’ve had several that showed up at just the right moment when I needed a lift. So, you be the judge… I’ve had God moments, that is for sure, and others that did not involve rainbows. Your post reminds me of Albert Einstein’s words: “There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle.” I find that the more you choose the latter approach to life, the more you have God moments. Anyway, thank you for the inspiring story and insights. 🙂

What a beautiful message Susan. Thank you! And yes, I do believe this was for me. The timing was so precise and I would have missed it if I not chosen to look out. It lasted probably less than 5 minutes.
I love that quote from Einstein. It is absolutely true isn’t it. I’m so glad you experience these too.
Thanks for reading and leaving your lovely message Susan. 💕

This is so beautiful! How fantastically serendipitous to choose to get up, make the time to look out the window, and see a rainbow! 🌈Your poem, what a gift of art! I didn’t know it was also International Happiness Day. Thank you Alegria, and the blogging world for so many beautifully happy posts all connecting to each other. My heart is full, and my face is smiling. ❤️☺️

Thank you Rose for seeing the beauty in all of this and appreciating it. Our blogging community is such a wonderful place, where we support each other and appreciate the goodness of life.
I also have to tell you my orchid is blooming beautifully and I didn’t realize that I actually have The Orchid Thief. I had forgotten I’d picked it up at a book sale and it’s been waiting for me to pick it up. I noticed the title the other day while looking for something else. When you mentioned the book, I had completely forgotten, but now I feel the urge to read it. Another serendipitous moment.
My heart is full too. Thanks for being here. 💕

I wrote a comment but I’m not sure if it went through. I got caught in something from WP attempting to force me to subscribe to something… this blog maybe? Never seen anything like it before.
Anyhoo, will try again. Just wanted to say I like your thoughts here. I feel quietly inspired.

Oh my…rainbows and perspective. Such insight right there, dear Alegria. Thank you so much. I love these ripples of goodness. When I read your words – here – I stopped in my tracks:
“In that space between this and that, yours and mine, taking and giving, light and dark, is a place for equilibrium. Finding that precise balance is the struggle.”
This is such a poetic, pointed description of the challenges in our world at the moment. The collective and the individual struggles. Cheers to synchronicity, God moments, magic, authentic friendship. Cheers to you. xo! 💕

Ah what a beautiful message my dear friend. Thank you for your post this morning and for the encouragement. I have a lot that goes on in my mind, but don’t often take the time to post. Time is the nemesis of course. So I thank you for your encouragement and support. Always!
And yes, the challenges are there, and we must always persevere to rise above. You know how to do that well and are a beautiful example to the rest of us.
Love and hugs to you!!! 💕🤗
