Did you find some open green spaces last week that brought you some joy?
This week we’re exploring creativity.
Here’s the prompt for this week:
Creating without restrictions really gives us a sense of freedom, doesn’t it. What will you create?
The Happiness Project is
my way of sprinkling happiness like fairy dust so that we can shift our perspective towards a happier more joyful life. Each Tuesday I will give you a prompt and an affirmation for the week. Use these to guide yourself towards a joyful life filled with gratitude and happiness. Think of it as your own gratitude journal.
Once in a while we’ll do a check-in to see how your happiness is improving, so keep slowly moving towards happiness and eventually to joy.

Hello there! I sparked a little joy yesterday when I took the time to do some baking. Crazy as that seemed, given it was super-hot outside, but I had the urge and took the time to make one of my favorite high-protein banana bar recipes. I realized how much I’ve missed baking – the mixing, mulling and toying with yummy add-ins (carob chips, nuts). We have neighbors going through some health issues and I had them on my mind as I sifted, mixed and noodled in the kitchen – grateful that I took the time to cut the finished products into artful shapes with cookie cutters. Ready for gifting! 💕

Baking is a lovely creative endeavour. I haven’t baked anything fabulous in a while, but I’ve dabbled in cake decorating and it was fun. Your creation sounds lovely Vicki. And delicious! How grateful your neighbours must be to have you nearby. Thank you for being a part of the Happiness Community and spreading your joy. 💕

Creativity comes naturally to me and kind of what makes me tick. Funny that your prompt comes in a time when I have zero space for creativity in the sense of creating something artistic or spiritual. As I sit in Denver packing up my daughter’s house, I am tasked with coming up with creative solutions for logistics instead.

Finding solutions can be creative too. It’s all about thinking outside a standard framework right? So true, although you’re not necessarily creating something new for yourself, the brainstorming will lead to a new creative idea. Enjoy! And when you’re back and she’s all settled you’ll find the time for creating something special for yourself. Our kids definitely take up our time, no matter their age. Thanks for being here Margie!
