I hope you enjoyed yourself walking through a garden or two last week. I too have visited a few gardens over the last few weeks, I mean it is summer in the northern hemisphere. And since the season of flowers here in the great white north is short, I am making the most of it.
This week’s prompt will take some reflecting, but is sure to leave you feeling joyful.
Here’s the prompt for this week:
The Happiness Project is
my way of sprinkling happiness like fairy dust so that we can shift our perspective towards a happier more joyful life. Each Tuesday I will give you a prompt and an affirmation for the week. Use these to guide yourself towards a joyful life filled with gratitude and happiness. Think of it as your own gratitude journal.
Once in a while we’ll do a check-in to see how your happiness is improving, so keep slowly moving towards happiness.

Creative legacy…what a beautiful thing to ponder. I’m new here, and I think the intention is to mull for a few days before replying. Even though I’m a little behind in catching up with this week’s prompt but I’ll share three things that jumped out at me. (Your videos are a feast — calming, inspirational. Soothing!)
Here’s what popped to mind. First, it matters to me that our daughter sees grace. Despite hardships that come and go, I hope she sees my resiliency and willingness to forgive as a pathway to freedom of expression and thought. Second, I hope there’s a bit of fearlessness and courage in my wake. A legacy that I was true to who I was, honoring self and others in the process. And last? I thought of the importance of oneness. Not trying to do (or be) everything at once but investing, creatively and wholeheartedly in the activities and people that are joyous and contribute to being generous of spirit. Being still long enough to allow ingenuity and artistry to be seen and appreciated (both in others and within ourselves).

A beautiful response Vickie. Your thoughts reflect many of my own. Your words, “being still long enough to allow ingenuity and artistry to be seen…” is where we all need to arrive at in order to understand our own creative powers, because we live in an age where the distractions are many.
Thank you for re-subscribing. Hoping you do see my posts now. I just posted one and there is a video in there that I believe you will enjoy very much. Let me know if you still have an issue with accessing my posts and I’ll see what I can do to fix the problem.
Thank you for being here and sharing your uplifting, eloquent and thought provoking words. xo

Oh my goodness…my pleasure. Yes, yes. So many distractions that take away from opportunities to see all the wonder. And about your blog and the following issue, I think I know what happened. There’s still a semi-active-looking blog with the same title as yours or nearly so…and I must’ve subscribed to that one instead of this one. Happy to be here…thank you for creating (wink!) such an uplifting space. 🥰

Very important thoughts here, as I believe humans are creative at their very essence, and it is currently being weaned out of them in a society that is becoming increasingly controlling. (And, they live on their phones!) Having been an artist for many years, and now I’m writing, creativity comes naturally to me. But I do think perhaps I could be doing more to encourage others to find their creativity. It raises an important question for me, so thank you.

Thanks for this inspiring thought Susan. The little snippet about creativity and our contribution is part of a larger video and post that I actually just posted here on my blog. Hope you enjoy it. I do believe whatever we create becomes our legacy, and you are right, we are losing our creativity to machines that do our thinking for us.

I love this prompt to consider creative legacy. What a beautiful way to consider the long view – but on a regular basis. I find this has me thinking about the impact of creativity and it’s really inspirational!
Sorry to have missed the last two weeks – I was spending a ton of time outside on vacation and so I was participating in the happiness community but from afar!

I’m sure you were participating Wynne, without doubt. No apology necessary.
And it’s true isn’t it, the things we create will have a lasting impact. The idea came to me at a garden I visited recently. I will share a post and video about it very soon.
Thanks for being here my friend. So glad you’re enjoyed some downtime with the kids. Making memories. 💕

This will be a difficult one Alegria!

You know I’ve heard that from a few people Aletta. It doesn’t have to be arduous, just something to ponder for our own sense of creativity and joy. And to contribute to the happiness of others as well. Thanks for being here.

Will have to think about this one.

This one may not be so easy, but a great idea! Today I visited a special garden; a butterfly waystation in the middle of the city. It was full of flowers insects and butterflies and was an absolute delight.
