What is one thing that is calling to you this summer? One thing you really want to do, that will fulfill your soul and satiate your desire for creativity?
This past week on Lemonade Days the theme was freedom. We talked about the variety of meanings that freedom carries. And I wrote a little poem that relates to that.
Freedom wears many faces
And whispers in countless tongues
To some it's a soaring eagle
To others a song unsung
It may be a silent space to wonder
Or the right to raise one's voice
A path unmarked by borders
Or simply the power of choice
In every heart a different echo
Yet the beat is like one drum
A yearning to live unshackled
Together, under the same sun.
During the week, if you missed my Instagram posts, we explored the freedom of nations, freedom in creativity, and the ultimate freedom, the freedom to be yourself.
Time is also often the nemesis, at least for me. So we talked about freedom of time.
Using the Eisenhower Matrix, we can find ways to adjust how we use our time to maximize it for summer freedom and to do those things our soul is crying out for.
You can find that post here on my Substack with a template that explains the Eisenhower Matrix and how you can use it for yourself, to make some time to do the things you want to do, rather than doing only the things you feel you have to do.

Let me know what you think. Can you find the time to explore the things you want to do? And what is calling to your soul? I realize you may not feel comfortable revealing. It requires vulnerability. And I’m uncomfortable with it sometimes too, but I’ve realized that is the place where we begin. Agreed?
This upcoming week on Lemonade Days we’ll be focused on noticing inspiration. I hope you’ll join me.

Freedom is being able to hold onto all the things that make us free.

Terrific poem. I share the same vision as you. We can’t choose freedom, only when it suits our purposes.

Well I left a comment, then WP ate it. Wanted me to sign up for a newsletter? I passed because I can find you on my own but now I can’t leave a comment when I stop by? That seems hinky. 🤨

Is it the subscription box below the post that you tapped or the comment box, which is further down? I don’t see any other comment from you aside from this one. How strange. Perhaps I’ll move that subscription box. Maybe that’s causing a problem. Thanks for letting me know Ally.

I used the comment box, but the subscription box showed up after I hit the publish comment box. I had to subscribe in order to input my comment. Not that I mind following you, btw— just find it odd I have to now.

That’s very strange Ally. I’ve never heard that before. I will check into it. Thanks for letting me know.
