I am oh so grateful for thoughtful gestures and gentle autumn days.
Early morning brought plenty of time for slow reflection. The supermoon was still out shining her light brightly, while on the opposite end of the horizon the sun painted hues upon the sky that coordinated with gently changing autumn leaves.

Chrysanthemums and pumpkins punctuate the garden beds while the willow dances with elegant ease.

The fireplace warms my legs as I stand in front of it. The furnace clicks in, steam from my tea cup lifting gracefully with its rhythm.
I’m grateful I don’t have to be anywhere in a hurry. I’m grateful those days are gone, I think to myself, as my neighbour starts his car. The busyness of the highway in the distance gradually coming to life.
I’m grateful for gentle autumn mornings and the thoughtful gesture of my son-in-law surprising me with my favourite coffee as he dropped off their puppy. All pumpkin spice sweetness.

I’m grateful for noticing all the tiny details outside my kitchen window. The squirrel darting across the street carrying a chestnut to his home. The perfect spider web collecting morning dew. The butterfly bush drying out her flowers, contented with a job well done. The jogger who sprints by while fixing his AirPods.
There is so much to be grateful for in a world where the good things go unnoticed, taken for granted, because they are all around you quietly ticking along, keeping the universe in alignment.
Take a look, do you notice something that gave you the feeling of gratitude today?

This is such a wonderful post and a much-needed reminder to appreciate those little moments in life. I find that there’s actually more to feeling good all the time than being blessed, having a good life and getting stuff.
People often get accustomed to the good or bad things in their lives and adapt to what they have as the norm. They stop seeing things as good or helpful, but take them for granted and develop the expectation that they will always be there, even if they were a great upgrade from what they’ve had in the past.
That means every achievement, gift, opportunity, blessing, and good relationship they will get used to and take for granted eventually. That’s why I try to be grateful for everything in my life. Thanks for sharing, and have a good day 🙂 Aiva xx

Thanks so much for your thought full message. You’re absolutely right about people getting accustomed to their lives and taking things for granted.
There’s so much to be grateful for. It’s tough to recognize those simple joys when we are suffering. Clear the suffering and we clear a path to joy. And gratitude.
Thanks for being here Aiva. Lovely to meet you. Have a beautiful day!

It’s been a great week for being grateful, Alegria. Even my damp, dismal birthday yielded glorious moments- I returned home to find chocolates and a pretty mug on the doorstep, and so many well wishes! Getting older is not so bad- for us lucky ones! And I’ve spent many social, happy hours with friends. What’s more of a blessing than that?

Hi Alegria, I too enjoyed the beauty of the setting silver super moon in the west with the simultaneous golden glow of the rising sun in the east this morning. A very special cosmic beginning to the day, and I am always in tune with nature’s messages. Earth and nature really do help us to stay grounded in what is real, or aligned with the universe as you so beautifully put it.
And I am grateful for your post today, and the reminder to stay focused on beauty and joy as much as possible. They are tonic for the soul. ~ Susan

As I thought, the previous message was from you Susan.
You probably thought it hadn’t posted and then tried again. The thing is when it comes through from an unrecognized source, the system will not post it right away.
Thank you for your lovely messages and for appreciating. Glad to know you experienced the same energies as I did this morning. 💕
