Last week was a lot of fun wasn’t it. Giving a simple flower away brings joy to the receiver and the giver and that is a true win win.
This week we’ll continue the giving, however in a slightly different way. And as always you get to choose.
Here’s the prompt for this week:
The Happiness Project is
my way of sprinkling happiness like fairy dust so that we can shift our perspective towards a happier more joyful life. Each Tuesday I will give you a prompt and an affirmation for the week. Use these to guide yourself towards a joyful life filled with gratitude and happiness. Think of it as your own gratitude journal.
Once in a while we’ll do a check-in to see how your happiness is improving, so keep slowly moving towards happiness.
Happiness Community Shares:
Join the Happiness Community by writing a post, or sharing an image using the happiness prompt. Leave a comment and/or link your post in the comments so others can see it, and I will know to share it in next week’s post.
Last week:
Still Restless Jo https://stillrestlessjo.com/blog/ planned to give a bouquet of wild flowers to her neighbours.
Margie from https://backroadsandotherstories.com was going to give away some roses from her garden.
Cee Neuner who is a photographer shares her floral photography with the WordPress community on a daily basis in her Flower of the Day Challenge. And this week dedicated it to blogger Bren who sadly passed away last week. Read Cee’s post here https://ceenphotography.com/2023/06/16/more-flowers-for-bren/
Wynne Leon the beautiful soul from Surprised by Joy, https://wynneleon.com and a happiness community regular is back, yeh! Here’s what Wynne said, “I love this prompt because my daughter’s 2nd grade class organized last Wednesday for every kid to bring in a single flower to make a bouquet for a dedicated classroom volunteer. The picture of what they all made was WONDERFUL!”
We found Wynne, but lost Janice. Where are you Jan? https://accordingto.me/
Just kidding, there’s no pressure to participate. All participation in the Happiness Project is by pure choice. Though I do hope you find it helps steer you towards more happiness, even if they may be tiny small moments, they all add up to one big joy.
Steffi who lives in Germany and blogs at https://kokopellibeefreeblog.wordpress.com/ is a happiness community regular over on Twitter as is the lovely Coline Deschanel from France.

I hope you found some moments of happiness last week in giving the gift of a single flower.
This week, I wish you some beautiful moments of slow intentional happiness as you continue to celebrate the joy of giving.

I love the focus on giving! It’s so true that giving really helps lift us up as well. This week my daughter and I made a mosaic tile for a friend who just had to say good-bye to their beloved dog. It doesn’t work as a replacement I know but we hope it’ll be a beautiful reminder of their special relationship!

This is a great prompt and I will definitely make a point of doing that. I will start by letting you know that you are prinkling joy every week and I appreciate it 🙂

Oh that is so great to know Margie. I really appreciate the feedback. Even an ounce of additional joy may shape things a little differently in our crazy world. Thanks very much for being here each week and for your lovely comment.

I love this – I did not know about the flower prompt, but it happens I was taking a taxi home recently, and I had bought a large bouquet of flowers to give for a gift. The flower lady had given me a “yapa” (Spanish for “bonus)”. I could have kept this for my personal flower, but, the taxi driver (male) looked like he needed a lift. So as I was getting out, I handed him the flower. I received a big smile. 🙂

Oh that’s a wonderful story Susan! Passing on the gift of giving. Yapa, llapa or napa (depending on which Spanish country you are in) is a wonderful gesture that always makes the recipient smile. Paying it forward as you did, makes it extra special. Thanks so much for sharing your uplifting story.
