Magnolia Alley in Niagara Falls is a feast for the senses. A nature lovers delight. And don’t say I didn’t warn you about falling in love here. I can’t gush enough about this place and I feel blessed to live so close by. I have visited in every season and every season has its wonders, though Spring is preferred due to the lush Magnolia blooms that adorn the trees rising up from superbly tended green lawns that are lounge worthy.

In spring the Magnolia trees are filled with pink blooms and the scent of these pink flowers fills the air on the Niagara Parkway. As the trees bloom their boughs come together overhead and a glance upward is mesmerising.

Magnolias bloom here any time between late April and mid May depending on the weather. You’ve all heard me lamenting that spring is late this year. I will now stop my lamenting as Magnolia Alley is finally in full bloom, giving truth to the quote that spring is finally here.
“The magnolia is a symbol of hope and new beginnings. When I see her blooming, I know that spring is on its way.”
Unknown
The good thing about this cool spring is the flowers are lasting longer than usual, at least that’s how it seems to me.
Let’s just say if love at first sight was a flower, it would be Magnolia Alley.
Here’s a little video that takes you on a delightful walk in this beautiful place.
If You Go:
There is no cost and no barriers to walk the pathways of Magnolia Alley. There is plenty of metered parking at the Niagara Parks Floral Showhouse. The address is 7145 Niagara Parkway, Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada Click here for a Google map

Visit the Floral Showhouse for a seasonal exhibit at just $7 per person, and walk Magnolia Alley, sometimes called Magnolia Allee (the french version). My previous post on the Floral Showhouse with images from a previous year at Magnolia Alley is here https://lifewithalegria.com/2019/08/28/niagara-floral-showhouse-a-place-for-all-seasons/
If by chance parking is full at the Floral Showhouse, there is plenty more parking in the paid parking lot behind the Niagara Parks Power Station which is on the other side. This venue also offers a fantastic tour surrounding the history of electric generation in Ontario . More on that in a future post.
Once you’ve walked Magnolia Alley, cross the street to walk along the Niagara River and take in the majesty of this glorious natural wonder that leads to the Horseshoe Falls (The Canadian Niagara Falls). On your walk towards the falls you’ll see The Scow, the old barge that has been stuck near Goat’s Island since 1918. More on that in a future post also. (So much to write. So little time. You know the drill.)
There is always plenty to see and do in Niagara Falls, but do not miss Magnolia Alley this season. You are sure to fall in love.

That’s great Indra. Let me know how you enjoyed. If you love flowers like I do, while there visit the Centennial Lilac Garden. It’s in bloom right now. I wrote a post on it last year and visited again last week. My YouTube video on it will be uploaded later today. Enjoy!

Beautiful! My daughter’s new house has a magnificent magnolia tree in the front yard that is about to bloom. Can’t wait to see what flowers it will produce!

Those are totally fabulous, Alegria! I’m used to seeing magnolias singly but to see them thronging together is pretty magical. Thanks so much for this lovely share.
